The edition appears as the complete translation from Arabic of the original of the Turk lexicography’s first dictionary “Diwan Lughat at-Turk” compiled by Makhmud al-Kashgari in 11 century.

“Diwan Lughat at-Turk” – the brilliant work of Makhmud al-Kashgari, acquired fame far outside the Muslim world – is the extremely valuable source of knowledge of universal scale.

The text of the edition is given in the redaction of orientalist Z.M. Auezova, who tended to the precise translation of the Arabic original.

The book is intended for researchers-historians, linguists, lecturers as well as for general readers.
